{Amended 5 Feb 08} Vita Per Nex basics --- amended often and without warning

I've no idea what to call this story, but it's a couple of years in the thinking and my father's helping me with it. I'll call it the Mischaverse for now, because it centers around General Mischa.

I've named it Vita Per Nex, which, according to the questionably reliable translation of Altavista's Babelfih, means Life From Death., and it's in Latin because foreign words are cool.

Back story

Earth is engulfed in a two-sided war. One enemy comes and goes, sometimes with years between attacks, keeping a constant strain on Earth's government, citizens, and resources. The main enemy, the Benders, as Earth calls them, have extremely powerful psy abilities, split into life and death specialisations. Earth has made contact with sentient life on the planet Venus, who have dealt with the Benders before. The Venusians created a serum to imitate the inherant psy powers of the Benders, and are working with Earth scientists and genetecists to create one that will work with humans. They're concentrating on the death powers first, so the Families will be able to take the offensive.

Venus has been becoming more like present-day Earth, which is deadly to the Venusians, and Earth's ecology is being destroyed by the constant wars. The two planetary governments have decided to switch planets, which is taking a major toll on already stretched resources.
